ABOUT Dale novak and his WORK
Dale Novak is an illustrator who lets his imagination do the talking. Since an early age, Dale has been fascinated with science. The first time that he was asked what he would like to be when he grows up, he responded with, "Maybe I'll be a Tyrannosaurus Rex." This was also his earliest memory of being devastated that he could not grow up to be a dinosaur. Though he was unable to transcend time and space to get his dream career as a prehistoric beast, he decided that drawing them would be the next best thing.
Dale favors traditional mediums to express his vision. Using these mediums allows the viewer to see what can be made with one's own hands. Traditional mediums let others see the flaws and natural mistakes in the piece to still show that they are only human. Dale enjoys using pen and ink as his medium of choice. Through working with pen and ink, he can stipple in the fire and delicate details that cover each piece.
His largest inspiration comes from thinking about the endless galaxies that sit above the world each day. Space is a mystery and is infinite. As an illustrator, he uses his talent and imagination to give people a closer look of distant worlds beyond that lies beyond the next distant star.
