Spivak Student Studios
ABOUT SPIVAK STUDENT STUDIOS
Spivak Studios is a vibrant, active, creative student community in the heart of RMCAD’s campus dedicated to the professional development of students’ art and design practice. The building offers 12 studio spaces and a common exhibition space where RMCAD students can connect, create, and develop their studio practice in a supportive environment. Having a Spivak studio is a competitive and prestigious opportunity open to all degree programs and modalities.
Applying for a studio
Each semester, a call for Spivak residency is opened for students to apply for a studio space, and selections are made based on merit, with requirements for GPA, credits earned, a 3-5 work portfolio and an artist statement. Any questions you might have about the studio program are most likely answered in our Spivak Studios Guidelines document. The application goes live every semester, week 4, term B and will come in an email from rmcadgalleries@rmcad.edu.
