he Philip J. Steele Virtual Gallery is a digital extension of RMCAD’s campus-based Philip J. Steele Gallery. This gallery presents online student work in a modality-aligned professional gallery space, making it significant for exhibiting students and accessible to viewers anywhere. Student work is shown simultaneously with the campus gallery in two of the most prestigious student exhibitions: the Graduation Exhibitions and the Annual Student Exhibition. This connection and visibility build community by uniting RMCAD’s physical and virtual exhibition experiences.
Exhibitions are complemented by virtual artist talks, online workshops, digital class visits, and other programming that encourages engagement with exhibiting artists while strengthening connections between exhibitions, classroom learning, and the broader RMCAD communities.

GRADUATION EXHIBITIONS
Grad exhibitions celebrate and showcase the culminating projects of graduating students in a professional gallery environment. This exhibition reflects the diverse practices, perspectives, and approaches cultivated across RMCAD’s academic programs, highlighting the impact of the college’s creative mentorship. These exhibitions correspond with senior studio and capstone classes. As one of the most important presentations of student work, these exhibitions shape the rest of the PJS Gallery exhibition schedule. These exhibitions aim to represent the best student work across degree programs.

THE ANNUAL STUDENT EXHIBITION
The Annual Student Exhbition is a juried presentation of the strongest student work from across programs and academic year, providing a broad view of current creative investigation and skill development at RMCAD. This exhibition is a significant tradition that has taken place every year since the college’s founding.
