Visiting Artist, Scholar, and Designer Program at rmcad
This program unites the entire RMCAD community and opens its doors to the Denver-metro area by inviting the public to attend a variety of free evening lectures and events presented by our roster of distinguished guests. These guests also engage with RMCAD students and faculty through private events, such as studio visits, gallery talks, and workshops. The Program was awarded Westword's Best Of Denver 2016: Best Incubator for Visiting Artists and Scholars. Learn more here.
The Visiting Artist, Scholar, and Designer Program at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design explores critical, diverse, and creative inquiry. This interdisciplinary initiative enriches the academic experience at RMCAD and serves the greater Denver-metro community.
Historic Mary Harris Auditorium
The VASD Program is honored to continue the tradition of creative enrichment rooted in our historic Mary Harris Auditorium (1941). Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design's campus once served as a medical campus for tuberculosis patients of the Jewish Consumptive Relief Society. The Mary Harris Auditorium hosted events, presentations, and film screenings for patients and staff. Bob Hope is just one of the entertainers that graced the same stage as today’s VASD Program speakers.
