ABOUT THE Artist

Julian Glander is a 3D artist based in Pittsburgh. His independent animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival to critical acclaim and then had a theatrical release across the US. Over the past decade, Glander has helmed projects for Adult Swim, Disney, HBO Max, and Cartoon Network. He also created the cult hit video game ART SQOOL and his 3D illustrations appear frequently in the New Yorker. In 2022, Glander made waves as a contestant on Jeopardy! when he recited a bizarre backwards version of the alphabet.

Julian is the second VASD Program artist in the college-wide FRICTION Series.
