Pareidolia by finn jeffrey

about this exhibition

This exhibition explores pareidolia, the tendency to see faces in everyday forms, through a cubist approach to shape and structure. The work engages pareidolia as a shifting, unstable experience. Faces are not always shown directly, but suggested through broken planes and connected pathways. By shattering a single point of view, the work invites viewers to actively piece together what they see and notice how naturally the mind reaches for meaning and familiarity.

Take away color. Take away comfort. What remains is instinct. The mind reaches for familiarity, and invents faces from nothing. In every face, you see yourself. This exhibition offers no apology. Don't you understand? Pareidolia insists.
